Benefits
You don’t have to be a member to shop at the Lincoln Village Food Co-op—but membership comes with added benefits.
A one-time membership buy-in gives members lifetime ownership, including voting rights, a voice in shaping the co-op’s future,
and potential annual dividends. Members may also enjoy special events and classes, discounts with local businesses, and reduced-price CSA boxes from the Altadena Farmers Market.

Equal voices in
the coops' future
The coop community — member-owners and workers — make important decisions together. Instead of one boss calling all the shots, the group works as a team to decide things like what products to sell, how money is spent, and what values the co-op follows. For a potential owner, this means you still have responsibility and leadership, but you also share decision-making with the community, which can build trust, loyalty, and a stronger business over time.

Dividends
Your investment in the coop goes back to you and the community
Instead of profits only going to an owner, the coop will return value to members in different ways over time. The overall idea is that the benefits are shared more broadly among the people who help the co-op grow.

Classes & Events
Connect & learn
As a co-op member, you’ll also get access to special events, workshops, and community classes designed to bring people together around food, wellness, and local culture. From cooking demos and tasting events to gardening tips and nutrition classes, membership gives you opportunities to learn new skills, meet like-minded people, and be part of a welcoming community beyond just shopping.
